First Friday
DVAC will stay open till10 p.m. for the monthly First Friday event. Stop by and check out our exhibits on your way to the DAI’s Oktoberfest Preview Party.

Biennial Call for Entries
DVAC will be closed while the biennial Call for Entries jury takes place at daytaOhio. The entire jury process will be broadcast via the Web. For more information about the call, go to www.daytonvisualarts.org.

Reception and Gallery Talk
Meet Lori Larusso and Kathleen Thum at their closing reception, starting at 5 p.m. A Gallery Talk will begin at 6:15 p.m.

October 18
Family Fun Workshop
Stretch those arms and learn how to use pencils, markers, paint and chalk with a variation of layered papers to create wall drawings. Exhibiting artist, Kathleen Thum, will lead participants in creating a group project to be displayed in our back room throughout November. The workshop includes supplies and light refreshments. $20 per adult/child pair. Reservations required; Call (937) 224-3822.

A is for Artist
